2nd Annual Panther Band March-A-Thon

Location: Starting at the CHHS parking lot

The Colleyville Heritage High School Panther Band will be holding its 2nd Annual March-A-Thon fundraising event to raise funds to support the band’s numerous activities. This year the scope of the Panther Band March-a-Thon has been significantly expanded. We have partnered with The Village at Colleyville and the City of Colleyville to create an annual event named the March into Fall Festival. Click here to see the Press Release.

The festival will occur on October 1st from 1:00-8:00 pm. Numerous events are planned for the day including bounce houses, hayrides, games, contests, crafts and food. There will also be hot air balloon rides and a dunking booth with our band directors participating. In addition, during the week prior to the festival, band students will be painting ten fire hydrants in The Village with a band theme.

The band will start marching from CHHS at 1:00 pm. The parade route is over five miles long and will weave through the streets of Grapevine and Colleyville ending at The Village at Colleyville around 4:00 pm. Click here for our marching route. The band will perform a concert in front of Colleyville City Hall and will receive a proclamation from the Mayor of Colleyville. An award will be made to the band section with the best Fire Hydrant painting design.

Later in the evening, starting at 6:30 pm, there will be a free Blues Concert featuring Dallas blues artist Tutu Jones with an opening act by local performer Nichola. Band students are encouraged to stay for the blues concert and they will receive classroom credit for attending the musical performance.

This will be a major fundraising event for the band. The band will be collecting pledges from homes along the parade route and at donation stations in The Village at Colleyville. The band will also receive revenue from the bounce houses, balloon rides, dunking booth and food concessions. The band hopes to raise as much as $10,000. All proceeds are to help raise money for a larger and much needed band trailer.
