The Band Hall is very busy before and after
games/contests. Parents are asked to wait outside the Band Hall for
their child to leave unless assisting with loading, unloading, uniforms,
supplies, etc.
-
Inspection is time set aside for the Directors
to prepare for the event at hand with the students. Roll Call after the
game/contest is the time for review of the performance and any related
issues. Roll Call is for the Directors and Panther Band members only.
All parents are asked to remain outside the Band Hall until Roll Call is
completed.
-
Don’t feed the Pit Dads!
-
Please do not join your child in the stands at
football games. Please see a chaperone if you need to see your child.
-
Please be sure your child does not take
valuables with them to football games and contests. The buses are not
secured or monitored.
-
If your child needs to leave a football game or
contest with you, be sure the Directors and Bus Captain are informed in
writing in advance, and that your child checks out with a Director
before they leave.
-
While waiting for your child to return from an
event, do not park in the curb/striped lane that is
directly next to the Band Hall. This is the Bus lane and you will be
trapped or towed!
-
The ramp leading to the Band Hall is for the
equipment trailer, so please don’t block that entrance.
-
Band Moms (yeah, and Dads too) can cry at any
performance – especially Senior parents.
-
Do not enter or exit
an auditorium or stadium’s bleachers during any band’s performance at a
competition.
We take pride at CHHS
in adhering to proper etiquette at musical events.
-
CHHS Band Parents chaperone the band for all
events to provide support and look out for the safety and welfare of the
students. The Band members and Directors are responsible for monitoring
behavior and handling discipline when necessary.
-
The Band Boosters is an equal opportunity
volunteer organization. You can sign up to be a Pit Mom or Chaperone Dad
if you wish!
-
And, last but not least, let the students take
responsibility to get the job done. They get plenty of opportunity to
learn the rules and responsibilities of being a Panther Band member.
You will be amazed at what they can do!
